There comes a point where simply getting more sleep isn't enough.

You begin to realise that what you're longing for isn't just physical rest, but a different way of living. One that creates a healthy awareness that helps you feel calmer, gentler, more connected, and more like you.

Yet so many of us have spent years moving through life without ever being shown how to truly support ourselves…or truly hear the signs our body gives us…or we simply ignore them and carry on regardless. And so, we've learnt to keep going, to meet expectations, to put ourselves last, and to ignore the quiet signals asking us to slow down.

The Seven Rhythms — Of You is an invitation to do something different. This practice is not a retreat from your life, but a different way of meeting it, consciously, purposefully, with care and respect for what each moment is actually asking of you. In effect, it brings your attention back to yourself.

"Through this practice, I’ve identified my own unique rhythms, I've even healed parts of myself I didn't even know were asking for attention.
I have settled into a deeper ease, softened into compassion, let go of what no longer serves me and created a life with more spaciousness, presence and peace. The transformation continues and my rhythms run gently and positively with me"

Together, we'll explore the different forms of rest and rhythm, which help you discover what your body, mind, heart and soul are asking for in your current inner season of life. As you begin to understand your own inner rhythms, alongside the rhythms of the natural world, you'll start making choices that support you rather than deplete you.

You'll discover that rest, and your inner rhythms, aren't one thing…..it's deeply personal….so you feel into what that is, and what you need, right now.

This isn't about adding another thing to your to do list, it's about creating space to breathe, to notice, to soften, to listen, to understand yourself with kindness instead of judgement.

Over time, you'll begin to feel more grounded, balanced and at ease. You'll learn how to replenish yourself before reaching empty, navigate life's changing seasons with greater compassion, and build a relationship with yourself that feels supportive, nurturing and sustainable.

Because rest, or embracing your rhythms, isn't something you earn once everything else is done. It's the foundation of self-support. A way of meeting yourself with compassion, understanding what you truly need, and giving yourself permission to honour it.

The Seven Rhythms Of You isn't simply a course you complete. It's a rhythm you'll return to, season after season, as life changes and you change with it… a way of reconnecting with yourself, again and again, so you can find the space to hear yourself once more.

Space to notice the patterns you're currently living by, including the ones that don't work positively for you, and that you've stopped even seeing. Slowly, the mirror turns, and you meet yourself more honestly than you have in years. You identify the patterns you need to let go of, and embrace the new ones that bring a more comfortable way to be.

Underneath everything you do, there's a version of you still there. Waiting. This is one way for you to find her again.

Imagine feeling settled in your own skin. Clear-headed. Able to move through a hard day without it costing you everything. Trusting your own energy instead of fighting it.

That image is not a distant version of you, it's what becomes possible when you're finally living in true rhythm with yourself.

This work will help you feel real shifts happening within your life, small enough to actually live more fluidly, strong enough to change how your days feel.

A new you…and one you get to keep.

The Seven Rhythms - of you

…a journey back to you.

  1. Inner Season Rhythm

The Conversation Between Two Worlds…The Foundation!!

This is your starting point, the foundation everything else is built on in this practice.

Before you can know what you need, you need to know where you are. Not where you think you should be, or where you're comparing yourself to everyone else, but where you actually are, right now.

Noticing your inner season, whether that's inner spring, summer, autumn or winter, it helps you name what you're genuinely going through. Because life is life, and it doesn't move in straight lines.

Inner Spring is the tender emergence - something new stirring, starting to blossom.

Inner Summer is aliveness and expansion - energy flowing freely, a sense of fullness and abundance.

Inner Autumn is the release - a chapter completing, something shedding that no longer fits.

Inner Winter is the deep stillness - the turning inward, harder times, the need to hibernate.

We then go deeper. We hold your inner season alongside the season happening in the natural world, and work with how both energies move together.

Once you know your inner season, and feel into it, you can start to understand how your energy actually wants to flow. That's what allows the other rhythms to line up. Everything becomes clearer, because you're building from the right foundation of awareness.

    What this rhythm opens up:
Relief from measuring your energy against where you think it should be. A settled sense of where you actually stand, right now, without needing to justify it.

    How it helps:
Eases the pressure to always be productive or to match everyone else's pace. Builds emotional resilience. Helps you trust your own fluctuating energy rather than resist it, and supports you through all inner seasons with compassion rather than judgement.

    Ways to live this rhythm:
Noticing which inner season you're moving through, and adjusting your pace with compassion. Aligning your activities with the outer season's energy. Marking seasonal turning points, solstices, equinoxes, and the quieter moments between them. Letting this rhythm guide which of the other rhythms you lean into, in any given week.

2. Physical Rhythm

The Quiet Sanctuary of the Body

Rest for the body isn't only stillness. Sometimes it's sleep or lying down; sometimes it's movement that restores rather than depletes, like a walk or gentle yoga. The practice is tuning in and asking the body what it needs, rather than assuming, or forcing.

Finding your rhythm physically can change so much about how you move through your life.

What this rhythm opens up:
A kinder, more intuitive relationship with your body. The ability to tell the difference between movement that energises and movement that drains and when you need to be still.

How it helps:
Replenishes energy and reduces physical tension. Supports recovery and overall health. Leaves the body feeling lighter, more at ease, and ready, for rest, or for movement, in equal measure.

Ways to live this rhythm:
Sleeping, napping, lying down without guilt. Restorative or gentle yoga. Mindful walks in nature. Swimming, running, or any movement that genuinely clears and restores you. Massage, a warm bath, quiet stretching. Listening to what your body is asking for in this season, and honouring it.

3. Mindful Rhythm

The Gentle Clarity of Mind

This rhythm helps you create space between thoughts, rather than trying to silence the mind. It's so hard to fully switch off and when we think we can't, we often stop trying to quieten the mind at all. That's where mental chatter, overwhelm and the inner critic become too powerful, too negative, too loud in our lives.

We focus on what's the best way for you to quieten and soften the negative headspace, and create rhythms that deeply, healthily and softly support your mindset. It's amazing what you can hear, beneath the noise.

What this rhythm opens up:
Relief from the noise inside your own head. The ability to hear your own thoughts clearly and compassionately, even when the day has been loud.

How it helps:
Eases mental fatigue and reduces anxiety. Improves focus and decision-making. Strengthens confidence and softens the inner critic, so self-belief has room to return.

Ways to live this rhythm:
Meditation, breathwork, mindful silence. Journaling to process and clear the mind. Guided relaxations. Time in nature without your phone. Daydreaming and quiet creative pursuits. Practising self compassion. Choosing to spend time with people who lift rather than drain you.

4. Emotional Rhythm

The Tender Harbor of the Heart

This rhythm gives you permission to actually feel what's there, without rushing to fix it, push it down, or suppress it. All emotions are warranted, but it's how we choose to work with them that makes the difference.

We focus on what a safe space looks like for you, to work with whatever emotion shows up. Meeting it all with compassion instead of judgement, with tenderness instead of harshness, and with nurture instead of suppression.

What this rhythm opens up:
A safer, more honest relationship with your own emotional world. The ability to feel without being overwhelmed. Space for healing that has been waiting patiently for your attention.

How it helps:
Restores emotional energy and calms the nervous system. Reduces overwhelm and emotional exhaustion. Strengthens resilience and deepens your connection to yourself and others.

Ways to live this rhythm:
Allowing yourself to cry, laugh, or simply feel, without resistance. Journaling to explore and release what you're carrying. Honest, heart-centred conversations with people you trust. Speaking to yourself as you would a dear friend. Setting boundaries that protect your emotional energy.

5. Social Rhythm

The Balance of Connection & Solitude

Here we learn the difference between the people and company that restore you, and the people and company that drain you and honouring that difference without guilt. It's as much about protecting your energy through boundaries as it is about connection. Many of us default to saying yes to every social occasion, even when it drains us, even when some part of us doesn't want to be there.

This rhythm also makes space for the healthiness of solitude. Time for yourself, without guilt, simply being present with yourself and everything you're holding.

It's about finding the balance: being social, and having your own space. Being around the right people, and moving away from those who deplete you. A delicate balance to strike, but once you find your rhythm within it, it's a beautiful place to flow from.

What this rhythm opens up:
The freedom to be fully present, with yourself and with others. Relationships that genuinely nourish rather than drain. The confidence to honour your own needs without apology.

How it helps:
Reduces the stress of overwhelming social demands. Restores energy. Strengthens the relationships that truly matter, and helps you let go of those that don't.

Ways to live this rhythm:
Spending quiet, restorative time alone, without guilt. Saying no to what drains you, and yes to what truly restores you. Setting boundaries with kindness and clarity. Nurturing friendships that feel genuine and reciprocal. Allowing yourself the deep pleasure of real laughter and heart-to-heart conversation.

7. The Rhythm of Joy

The Thread That Runs Through It All

The rhythms before this one teach you how to meet yourself. This one asks something different … to go looking for joy within each of them.

Joy isn't automatic, even when you're doing "the right thing." You can practise a rhythm faithfully and still feel something missing, until you find the version of it that actually lights you up. It's found by staying curious, not by doing things correctly.

That's the invitation here: to keep asking, within each rhythm, where's the joy in this, for me, right now?

And joy doesn't only live in the light. Some seasons feel dark and heavy, and it's tempting to believe joy has no place there. But even then, there's often a flicker of it, if you stay present enough to find it.

What this rhythm opens up:
Permission for this practice to feel alive, not heavy. A way of noticing what genuinely lights you up, rather than assuming rest should always look calm and quiet.

How it helps:
Stops the practice from becoming another thing to get right. Deepens your relationship with each of the other rhythms, because you're not just doing them, you're asking what's true for you within them.

Ways to live this rhythm:
Noticing, within each rhythm, what actually lights you up, and letting that be different from what you expected. Making space for the full range of feeling, not just the comfortable ones. Trusting that even a difficult season can hold a flicker of light, if you stay present enough to find it.

6. Elemental Rhythm

The Nurture of Nature

Have you ever felt the pull to be near water? To get outside, into nature, without really knowing why? To find open space and simply breathe the air, or wanted nothing more than to light a candle, or curl up by a warm fire?

We are part of nature, and nature is part of us. Each element tops us up when we need it — we just don't always stop to notice, or trust the pull when it happens.

Elemental Rhythm is the practice of noticing, and following it. Simple, sensory, nervous-system-calming: bare feet on grass, water, sunlight, birdsong, being outside without agenda.

What this rhythm opens up:
A sense of groundedness that's hard to find indoors. Presence. Perspective. The quiet knowing that you're part of something much larger and more generous than your to-do list.

How it helps:
Restores energy and reduces mental fatigue. Calms and regulates the nervous system. Grounds emotions, lifts mood, and sparks creativity.

Ways to live this rhythm:
Walking barefoot on grass or earth. Sitting beside a river, lake or the sea. Feeling the wind on your face. Gardening, hands in soil, watching things grow. Watching flames. Listening to birdsong without distraction. Simply being outside, without agenda, without your phone.
